Beacon of Hope

I gifted my Hope key to a beautiful friend named Cheryl who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I purchased the Hope key in memory of my mother who passed away from pancreatic cancer. When I met Cheryl at a pancreatic cancer action network volunteer meeting, she was not the face of pancreatic cancer that I was used to seeing. The disease ravished my mother's body so quickly and Cheryl was a beacon of hope for me! She made me hopeful that, with research, early detection can be accomplished so those diagnosed can live longer lives. The motto for those suffering and have been affected by pancreatic cancer is "Wage Hope"...a battle cry of an unstoppable movement to rewrite the future of pancreatic cancer. I hope my small gift to Cheryl makes a big impact on her fight against this horrific disease.
