I gifted a key to an amazing colleague who I am also fortunate enough to call a friend. The key has the word BELIEVE on it. I chose this key not because she needs that word but because I feel like I have been wearing an imaginary Giving Key with this word around my neck all year thanks to her! We are teachers who job share. But we have not just "shared the workload" I truly feel we have shared far more than that. The great times, the heartbreaking moments, the joys, the laughs, the failures and successes.
Because of her amazing support and friendship, my belief in the job I do and the impact I have on my students is stronger than it has ever been. Even more importantly, Clair's amazing ability to inspire, challenge and encourage our beautiful class has created a group of students who are confident, happy and above all else have ended the year as young people who BELIEVE in themselves and their self worth.
Thank you Clair for helping me to believe in myself and encouraging our students to believe in themselves. I hope by wearing this key you will always BELIEVE in who you are and the amazing affect you have on those around you!
