I Will Be Brave

I work with people with end-stage dementia and life is hard. I come home covered with bruises and filled with despair, specifically with regard to crappy management, not enough staff, poor pay, etc.

My teenage daughter saw this key in Birmingham (UK) and bought it for me as my Valentine's Day present. I love it. When I'm feeling bad, I sometimes just hold the key and think 'I will be BRAVE.'

However I know the purpose is to pay it forward. There is a young lady at work who has a baby. Her partner has left her and she still comes to work with great courage. Recently, our management received a complaint about her that I know isn't true. I've reported the perpetrator of the complaint for sexually harassing our female staff.

I will pass the key on Thursday, but I will miss it!
