My Story
We were in high school when we met, and music brought us together. It didn't take long for us to be incredible friends, laughing and adventuring our way through life. Hannah saved my life.
Half an hour longer and my overdose would have been successful and I wouldn't be here, but that day wasn't the only day she saved me, every day since I have known with all my heart that I have a friend who wants me here, and who would do anything to keep me safe.
Since then I have been through more hardships than any human should, and she has been there answering every 2am phone call and I hope I have always been there to do the same. She wears the same key 24/7 and that makes this so much more special.
She radiates love and passion, and the fact that she keeps giving to the world with faith and compassion regardless of the bad things that happen by supporting a beautiful cause shows her character. Her strength. Over the last two years my life has become a beautiful series of memorable and rewarding triumphs.
I am the strongest I have ever been, and a month before she gave this to me she told me that through all the shit I'm experiencing she doesn't feel the need to worry about me anymore. Such a beautiful thing to hear a friend say, I no longer feel like a burden, instead I feel like I can be her rock always the way she has been for me.
One of the most precious gifts I have ever received, a notion of trust and observance of my personal growth from somebody who has seen it all, the good and the many trips to hell and back. You give me the strength to get through every day, and you see the best in me. I can see the best in me too now, and 24/7 I get to wear my heart on my sleeve and a reminder close to my heart.
