My Story
I had never heard of The Giving Keys before August 2020. A dear friend and co-worker was moving away and she gifted me a key with the word STRONG. She felt that this word represented the person I am. I was honored. Little did she know that having that key would mean so much more. Later that same night my husband had a major traumatic event and I have never had to be so strong in my whole life.
I wore that key continuously and squeezed it extra tight at times, drawing on her strength and her belief in my strength. I did not have to wait long to gift my STRONG key. A good friend, and mother of two young children, was diagnosed with breast cancer and the treatments were going to be long and taxing.
She is one of the most positive people and is always giving to others. I gifted her my STRONG key to her to let her know that I believe in her ability to fight and that she has my strength behind her all the way.
