My Story
In March 2018, I discovered I carry the BRCA1 mutation. I purchased a “COURAGE” key to help me during the difficult time that occurred after my discovery. I chose to take preventative measures and I had a full radical hysterectomy in November 2018.
The key helped me during probably one of my most life changing times. Fast forward to June 2019. One of my best friends’ daughters, Isabel, underwent a major surgery to help her scoliosis. She is expected to be in the hospital for five weeks with several surgeries planned.
The first, a halo procedure, was done on 6/17. I gave her my “COURAGE” key to help her during her surgeries and her recovery. She the strongest 12 year old and people I know.
