My Story

Choosing a “I have” statement was hard. I have both received and given keys, but my story starts with receiving. In 2019 my world changed. I found myself alone in a new apartment after 10+ years in a relationship/marriage. I had made the choice to leave a toxic relationship and although I knew it was the best decision, I still wavered from time to time. On this fall day, I grabbed my mail and found my new FabFitFun box awaiting me. This was something new I was doing for myself and I could not wait to see what was inside. As I unwrapped the box, I found various products inside, one with a product and the quote “Life begins where fear ends”. Digging some more I then spotted a small package with a necklace. I opened it to find a tiny key with the word “Believe”. I broke down in tears in that very moment. Life was telling me I made the right decision. I was on the right path. I just had to Believe. Since that day I’ve taken that message and belief system to heart. I have since given away fifteen of my own keys. I purchase a key with a word that I need at that time, also knowing that once I meet someone who needs it more, the key will be theirs. A woman longing to be pregnant- Believe, a friend battling cancer- Strength, a co-worker struggling to see all she’s doing-Worthy, a sister trying to move through postpartum and the new life she’s building-Love. Each time I get a new key, I know it’s time with me will be short, but I also know the power this key holds. The impact it will make on a struggling heart. A key meant to change the world.
