Resilient Spirit

My first Giving Key I bought the word "inspire". I gave the key to my son Zac on his 21st birthday. This birthday means more to me than any other, except possibly on the day I held him in my arms for the very first time. At the age of 19, just shy of his 20th birthday, Zac was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma. Over the past year, I have watched my son go through chemo, lose his hair, and have major surgery. One thing Zac didn't lose through it all was his love of life, and his brave and resilient spirit! He is one of the strongest people I know.

Zac "inspires" me to be a better person everyday and to never take this beautiful life for granted. A simple word that has changed our life and the way we live it.
