Today I bought my husband of 15 years a "courage" key. My hope is that he'll wear it between his t-shirt and ballistic vest when he's on duty as a law enforcement officer. At the start of his career we prepared for the possible dangers as well as the expectations and responsibility. For over a decade, my husband has helped the hopeless, protected the weak, and upheld the laws. He is fair, honest, caring, and courageous. I hope this key reminds him to unlock his courage in these difficult times. The acts of some are not the fault of all. I'm so proud of my husband and the admirable job he performs to protect and serve.
