“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.”
I bought my necklace, and chose the word courage because of that quote. Three months after I bought the necklace I went on a get-away retreat with some of my closest friends. After a night of laughing and eating, my friend and I were in the kitchen cleaning up. Her mom had been battling cancer for the second time. She told me that the doctors had done everything they could do, and that she only had a few weeks left. I gave her the necklace, because she needed it more then I did. A short while after that night, her mom passed away.
