My Story
I was given this key at one of the hardest times in my life... I had just found out that our daughter (who I was at the time pregnant with) had a 40% chance of being born with Down Syndrome. Being a perfectionist my whole life, I think the Universe was teaching me a lesson: can you love something that isn’t perfect? It wasn’t until I found complete love and acceptance that I gave birth (9 days late).
Her coming late allowed my relationship with my husband to grow, it allowed her to end up with my best friend’s first name (who died) as a middle name, those 9 days and patience taught me how and why we love no matter our imperfections. Our daughter was born “perfectly,” and it wasn’t until I learned to love her regardless, that this was truly manifested.
