Shining Through Struggle

I was a Domestic Violence Victim for 15 years, and last August of 2015, I finally left the relationship. I was new to Austin, but I had worked at Starbucks for a year already. That night, I became homeless and was without a car, and I had to fight for custody of my daughters. I now have an apartment, full custody of my children. I have to find rides to and from work, which I know have two jobs, but I am still working at Starbucks. A lot of my regular customers have followed me through these hard steps, and one of my favorites gave me a Shine Giving Key yesterday. She said that she was proud of me and how strong I was. I hugged her neck and cried. I still fight every day, and this will help me to keep on fighting.
