My mom was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer a year ago. A friend of her's gave her the Strength Giving Key to remind her to have strength during this trying time. A couple of months ago, my mom gave the key to me to give me strength for what would inevitably come. That day has come. This morning my mom passed away peacefully. She had the strength of a warrior. She fought as hard and as long as she could. Our nickname for her was Zena, Warrior Princess. She never gave up. She kept her strength until the end. Today, I am giving this key to a very dear friend of mine who's father is also battling lung cancer. May she find it as comforting as my mother and I have.
