We Give Each Other Strength

My sister gave me "strength" for my 60th birthday in February. My boyfriends' mother was in critical health and I was on my way home from a visit with my sister when this 95 year old lady was put in the hospital. She passed away in early March. I tried to give this key to my boyfriend yet he did not accept it. He needed it, yet as God would have it, He knew I would soon need it even more.

My 87 year old father had a stroke mid April. I happened to stop in for a visit as he was "stroking" and rushed him to the emergency room. After 4 days in the hospital and almost 30 days in a rehab following the stroke, dad returned to his assisted living facility. Not 2 weeks later he came down with Pneumonia, and ended up in the hospital again. This time he wasn't going to get better. Dad passed away in June.

My sister who gave this gift to me is now wearing the "strength" necklace. We give each other strength - back and forth! Family is so very important - I will never ever be able to thank my sister enough for all the gifts she gives me - most of which are not "things" we can touch. I am blessed beyond words.
