Michaela

I have the privilege of helping to run a monthly feeding ministry for homeless and low income folks. Using about 30 volunteers from my church, we cook and serve hot meals for over 100 people every month. Rather than cafeteria style, we have our guests sit at tables and we serve them. Church members also bake homemade cookies for dessert. One of my volunteers is Michaela. Michaela is 12 years old and comes every month. She is in charge of distributing desserts. Michaela is the daughter of full time missionaries, however, her family is staying with relatives while her mother receives cancer treatment. Michaela believes in caring for others. She helps her parents and younger brother at home as well as volunteering. She is beautiful inside and out. She treats our homeless guests with compassion, always smiling and making sure everyone gets plenty of treats. She is an inspiration to me so I decided to give her my Believe key necklace.
