Gone But Not Forgotten

I live in a small city in Kansas. I am a senior in high school who is graduating in 5 days. As a graduation present, my cousin gave me a giving key that says "believe". I woke up in the middle of the night and randomly checked Facebook, and I saw the worst possible thing. A girl from my school was murdered in a drive by shooting earlier that morning. Police say it was a case of mistaken identity. She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was a junior at my school and was extremely beautiful. My whole school and city is in mourning for the loss of our dear friend. Today I put my giving key on her memorial site where her murder took place. I hope my key can be an encouragement to those who loved her. They need to believe that our sweet friend, daughter, student, and sister is in a better place. Her suffering is over and she will always be with us. We must believe. RIP Allie Saum. Please pray for her family, our school, and our city as we celebrate her life.
