All my life I’ve been an independent person. I was sexually abused by a cousin when I was young, I’ve lost close friends every year to situations ranging from overdose or suicide to cancer and I am only 19 years old. Through it all, I have been the face of courage for my friends and for myself. Without the courage and support of my friends and myself, I would not be standing tall and walking proud the way I am today. Courage is something I wish to pass on to others, and this key is just a symbol of this and I look forward to wearing it around my neck and giving it away some day to someone who needs it.
