At Catalyst in October, The Giving Keys story was told. We are the parents of a 13 year old young man. 13 years ago we were struggling with infertility and were angry and heartbroken. In the darkest time of our lives God revealed his plan for our lives. We were given the best possible gift....a son. Today is his birthday. We got our son on Christmas Eve. His name is Matthew, Gift from God. The key chosen for Matthew was "Grateful".
The teen years are fraught with struggles between parent and child. We wanted to take the opportunity to tell him how very grateful we are that God chose us to be his parents. We wrote him a letter to go with the necklace telling him how much we love him, how grateful we are that he is our son and what an amazing person he is. Thank you for giving us the inspiration for this gift.
