Into the Unknown

I received my first Giving Key from a friend who knew I was relocating states for work. I was leaving family, friends and a home I had grown to love. But more importantly I was leaving my grandparents and my heart was torn. I had spent the past 9 months spending every second possible with them and asking the questions I wish I would have asked years ago. Wanting to know how they've kept their love flame aglow for the past 63 years of marriage. How they were always so kind and generous. I had prayed so hard to know if moving was God's Will for my life. One day my friend Haley came to me with my first Giving Key, “COURAGE.” She’ll never know how much that meant to me. I've worn that key so much!! And every time I do it is a gentle reminder that through my Faith and Courage I can do anything! So after being in Texas for 5 months it is time for me to explore other areas of the beautiful world we live in. While being in Texas, I have met perhaps the most amazing woman. She is such a kind-hearted, beautiful woman. She too is about to embark on a new journey and we are heading in two different directions. She has been the most selfless woman I've met. She’s spent the last 5 years wanting to be close to her family and helping them. So, with that being said, this is the moment that I felt inspired to give my "COURAGE" key to her....it was so clear, and seemed like she was the perfect recipient of my first 'paying-it-forward' giving key! I plan to give it to her this weekend. My hope is that it will be a sweet reminder that she can face anything as long as she has courage as she ventures out into the unknown.
