I'm an elementary school teacher and I teach 4th grade. Each year, I choose a student that I feel would benefit from getting a key.
This particular student had to put up with a lot the year I had her, and the following school year it continued. She showed so much COURAGE that I told her she was one of the most courageous people I know and to always remember that.
To date I have given away four keys to different students with different words for different reasons. I always tell them that I believe in them and how proud I am of them. I let them know the story of The Giving Keys and how, by giving away this key, they are helping somebody else as well as themselves.
