I had received a key many, many months ago from a very special friend. We are both going through a hard time. She received the key from someone when her 3 year old son was diagnosed with brain cancer. 5 months after her son was diagnosed I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It has almost been a year since I was diagnosed and I'm in the process of breast reconstruction. Its been a long year. For me and for my friend. Her son is doing well. He is in remission and gets checked often.
Even though my friend has been through so much with her son, she has been there for me more than anyone. She has never given up on me. She checks in with me every week and has sent me a card every week for the last year. She is a great friend and I love her so much.
