Unfortunately, I have suffered with depression and anxiety for 3 or so years, and until recently, I have suffered in silence. This year has been one of the most toughest years I have experienced in my 17 years of life.
After feeling alone for years, I realised it wasn’t right. I opened up to my favourite teacher at school, who told me that I wasn’t alone and that she was there for me. She is one the most friendly, trusting, kind hearted people on the face of the planet and I am beyond thankful to have met such a supportive teacher who I can confidently call my friend.
On my last day of high school she gave me my “STRENGTH” key necklace. I cried when I received it because it was such a thoughtful and meaningful gift. Ever since I got my necklace, I have barely taken it off.
