We All Need HOPE

Simple story. I was helping to lead a weekend retreat. On the 2nd day, one of the women asked about my necklace and why it had the word HOPE on it. I explained that HOPE was the word I'd adopted for 2017. That each day, it was a reminder to me that we all need HOPE and that when I feel at my lowest, it's a reminder that there is a HOPE greater than the current situation I'm in. I took it off and put it around her neck. She was shocked and said she couldn't take it. And I told her that it had helped me and now it was time to help her. I explained the story of The Giving Keys, and asked her to pay it forward whenever she was able.
